Biography

Peng V. Wu, MD, PhD, is a physician-scientist directing a lab that studies mechanisms of tumorigenesis in the developing liver, while caring for children with liver and other solid tumors. Dr. Wu received her undergraduate degree in Chemistry and Biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and completed MD-PhD training at the Tri-Institutional Weill Cornell/Rockefeller University/Memorial Sloan Kettering Medical Scientist Training Program. She subsequently completed residency in general pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, and fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at Stanford. Her research is currently funded by the Burroughs Wellcome Fund Career Award for Medical Scientists and the Hyundai Hope on Wheels Bridge2K Award. Her honors include the Damon Runyon-Jake Wetchler Award in Pediatric Innovation and the Forbeck Scholar Award.
